Almost 3% of the market value of all cryptocurrencies was lost as investors were scared off by new regulatory worries. Recent actions by Kraken and the SEC had an immediate effect on the markets for digital assets. Bitcoin (BTC) dropped below $22,000 and Ethereum (ETH) dropped below $1,600.

The worldwide cryptocurrency market cap is $1.06 trillion, down -4.65% in 24 hours and -49.03% year-over-year. Bitcoin dominates 39.6% of the market with a $420 billion market cap. Stablecoins’ market value is $137 billion, or 12.95% of the crypto market.
