  • It has a team recognized in the market for its expertise and for helping visionary companies and entrepreneurs build a solid and successful decentralized future.
  • The investment appetite of international funds, both private equity and venture capital, which have abundant liquidity and maintain interest in Europe, is a favorable framework for Tritemius.
  • The maturity and strength of the technological ecosystem, with increasingly innovative projects with an international profile, as well as the rise of blockchain businesses, attract the interest of investors.

Madrid, October 2, 2023. A new business and entrepreneurship player is born, led by Luis Pastor, who has more than 10 years of experience in business creation and consulting linked to blockchain technology and the development of new digitalization environments for finances. This is Tritemius, the company based in Spain, which will operate mainly in Europe and Latam.

Tritemius’s mission is to bring closer the real solutions offered by this technological transformation, impacting financial and business innovation. Its vocation is to identify and offer new business opportunities around technology and digital assets.

Tritemius’s vision is to lead the evolution of Web3 and transform industries by taking advantage of trends such as the growing institutional adoption of blockchain technology, the development of digital identity, the growing prominence of digital assets, the advantages of smart contracts, and decentralized finance, which, beyond investment trends, are drawing a new world economic scenario.

Without a doubt, the regulatory framework will generate new entrepreneurial formulas around digital assets, opportunities that the firm wants to take advantage of, along with business trends that outline the necessary adoption of cryptoassets at an institutional level.

The cornerstone of the company is the Research Area, which will serve as an explorer and supplier in the identification of business opportunities for Tritemius, which will begin with the creation of a Venture Builder.

Luis Pastor, co-founder and CEO of the firm, explains that “one of the great advantages of Tritemius is having a team with extensive knowledge and experience in regulation, technology, traditional finance, and decentralized finance. Our first steps will be in Europe and Latam, given the close ties that already exist.”

Corporate Venture Building and Transformative Ventures on the Web

The objective is the creation and development of new companies alongside large companies, providing them with the identification of technological solutions to real problems, resources, and services, as well as co-investment to be travel companions. Tritemius seeks to promote innovative and disruptive business ideas in a market in which there are deficiencies in the fields of digital identity, protocols and infrastructure, and decentralized finance.

“As a venture builder specializing in Web3, we are passionate about driving the adoption of this disruptive technology and offering innovative solutions. Our vision is to transform industries and empower our ventures to obtain a strategic advantage in the digital market; we also co-invest in projects as proven entrepreneurs,” explains the CEO of Tritemius. The binomial private capital and crypto assets are trading on the rise.

Globally, private capital presents a record of 3.7 trillion dollars of dry powder, that is, the amount of capital committed but not allocated, according to the latest sector data, and ready to invest. After a decade of growth in private equity fundraising, with almost $12 billion raised since 2012, fund-raising will be a challenge in 2023.

At the national level, according to SpainCap, the investment volume in Spain reached €3,005 million in the first half of the year, 46% less than in the same period of 2022. The change in the interest rate environment, the doubts about macroeconomic developments, and the impact of high inflation have reduced investment activity in terms of volume. However, the second-best historical record in terms of number of investments has been closed (469).

It has been the best first semester in fundraising history. The funds raised by private capital to invest from private national investors reached €1,343 million, 22% more than in the first six months of 2022, which was the best first half in history.

By size of the investments, the economic environment has impacted the large market and middle market segments (operations between €10 and 100 million), which closed the period with a volume of €800 million in a total of 38 investments. Likewise, another 427 investments have been closed with a size between 0 and €10 million. The maturity and strength of the technological ecosystem, with increasingly innovative projects with an international profile, outline an optimal roadmap for Tritemius.

In this environment, cryptoassets can generate greater momentum for Venture Capital and Venture Builders and/or transform the way startups and investments in emerging companies are financed and managed, with advantages such as more accessible and global financing, facilitating liquidity, tokenization of assets, and greater flexibility in investment.
