Kademlia Routing
In the Harmony blockchain’s adaptive state-sharding architecture, Kademlia routing is utilized to carry out cross-shard communications. A routing table stores information on all Harmony network nodes across various shards. Messages between nodes on separate shards move significantly quicker than typical gossip broadcasts to reach the target shard when Kademlia-based routing is used.
The Kademlia routing system substantially lowers the total network load as a consequence of this operation, resulting in a blockchain that is very efficient at cross-shard messaging.
