eTukTuk Launches Station App To Bring Awareness to the Transport rEVolution

| News Release

eTukTuk – a blockchain-based charging infrastructure and electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem announced today the development of a community-first app driving engagement and awareness around the platform’s mission to launch into developing countries.

In its recent User Statement, eTukTuk declared that its Station App is a place for community members to become part of the transportation “rEVolution”, stating, “We are actively increasing our user base so that we can create amazing things together.”

Highlighting the problem that over 99% of us are breathing polluted air, eTukTuk expanded on its mission by writing, “Together, we can rEVolutionise transportation, help nations sever the ties that bind them to fossil fuels, and we can install innovative infrastructure that will provide a robust and reliable network to keep people moving, earning, and living well — long into the future.”

eTukTuk seeks to turn community members into brand ambassadors within the app, where they can benefit from the app’s growth as they navigate the platform, complete missions, and create valuable opportunities for engagement.

eTukTuk went on to write that with further development, the app’s functionality will grow to include drivers with unique ride-hailing capabilities and seamless functionality, offering them a chance to be part of a connected community that belongs to eTukTuk’s sharing economy.

eTukTuk – the world’s first automotive project built on Cardano – has clearly laid out its mission to bring affordable, robust, future-proof charging solutions and a patented and proprietary Ev to emerging economies. The project has set its sights on Colombo, Sri Lanka as its founding territory, where currently, the team is working to identify key areas for charging station installation.

In a Twitter Spaces interview with the team, Chief Information Officer, Seth Ward stated that drivers would be able to earn more take-home pay thanks to the ecosystem that has been carefully designed. He said, “Over a 5-year period, the drivers are 400% better off [in take-home pay] and that’s a really phenomenal figure.”

On a recent trip to Sri Lanka, Ward stated that it was surprising that local drivers expected electric vehicles to be more expensive to own and operate than a petrol TukTuk. However, once they learned that not only will the eTukTuks be the same price or cheaper to purchase, but they will have up to 80% less running costs, and overall will boost take-home pay that is 4 times the national average. Ward went on to say that once drivers learned this fact, they were eager to become the first customers of eTukTuk.

During the conversation, it was announced that the blockchain platform would employ local manufacturing to boost employment opportunities, increase drivers’ take-home pay, and reduce air pollution and CO2-related health conditions caused by internal combustion engine (ICE) TukTuks.

eTukTuk recently announced partnerships with CMG and AsiaTokenFund Group.
