- Lido Finance has officially launched
stVaults on the Ethereum mainnet, marking a strategic
shift from a monolithic product to modular staking
infrastructure. - The new framework enables developers and
institutions to create
bespoke staking environments with
customizable node operators and fee structures. - Early adopters
and launch partners include Nansen,
Linea, and institutional operators like Chorus
One and Everstake. - Following the
announcement, Lido
squo;s LDO token price surged 6.3% in 24
hours, rising from $0.40 to $0.43.
Liquid staking giant Lido Finance has
officially deployed its stVaults primitive on the
Ethereum mainnet, a cornerstone of the protocol’s highly
anticipated V3 upgrade. The launch represents a
fundamental evolution for Lido, transitioning
the platform from a single liquid staking provider into a shared
infrastructure layer designed to power external developers, Layer
2 networks, and institutional players.
The stVaults framework
introduces isolated, non-custodial smart contracts that
allow users to create “purpose-built” staking setups. Unlike the standard
Lido pool, which operates under a uniform strategy, stVaults enable the
customization of critical parameters, including node operator
selection, reward routing, and bespoke fee
structures. This modularity is intended to solve the
“one-size-fits-all” limitation of traditional liquid staking, providing a
scalable solution for Layer 2 networks and corporate
stakers who require specific compliance or operational
controls.
To maintain the security of the broader protocol, each
stVault is set up as an opt-in and isolated environment,
ensuring that the risks associated with custom configurations remain
separate from other users. The system still allows these vaults to tap into
Ethereum
s staking landscape matures and becomes
increasingly specialized for institutional
demand.
