Bitcoin Rebounds from Extreme Oversold Levels as Liquidations Ease and Buyers Return
Crypto markets saw a relief rally on November 23, 2025, with Bitcoin bouncing back after hitting oversold conditions, signaling potential short-term recovery.
- Bitcoin rebounded 2.7% to around $86,500 after RSI flashed extreme oversold signal.
- $206 million in weekend liquidations point to seller exhaustion amid thin liquidity.
- Altcoins like XRP and ZEC led gains, surging 7% and 14% respectively.
Bitcoin staged a modest recovery on Sunday, climbing from intraday lows after technical indicators suggested the recent sell-off may have overextended.
The leading cryptocurrency traded near $86,466, up 2.7% from earlier levels, as the relative strength index (RSI) dipped into extreme oversold territory—a level that has historically preceded short-term bounces.

Analyst Ali Martinez highlighted the move, noting that Bitcoin’s RSI reading below 30 often signals seller exhaustion. Similar patterns occurred in 2023 and March 2025, leading to rebounds.
The bounce coincided with over $206 million in crypto liquidations over the weekend, with thinning liquidity amplifying price swings. This suggests sellers may be nearing exhaustion, allowing dip-buyers to step in.
Altcoins also participated in the rally. XRP jumped 7% to $2.07, while Zcash (ZEC) surged 14%, extending its strong year-to-date performance.
On X, traders discussed the potential for further upside, with one post noting the market’s green performance and altcoins bouncing harder than Bitcoin.
However, the macro trend remains downward on higher timeframes, and analysts warn that the relief rally could be short-lived without sustained buying.
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) prices reflect ongoing volatility in the market.
