A cryptocurrency is a sort of digital currency whose existence can be verified by processing a sequence of mathematical functions. The rules by which these functions are solved are called the crypto-mining algorithm.
Mining as a process refers to using computers to solve those complex mathematical problems under the assumption that such problems will be rewarded with additional digital currency.
