  • Seven firms, including Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, and Grayscale, filed amended S-1 forms for Solana ETFs with staking integration.
  • ETF analyst Nate Geraci expects approval in the next two weeks, potentially by mid-October.
  • The move could boost institutional adoption of Solana (SOL), enhancing yields through staking rewards.

Major asset managers have submitted amended filings for spot Solana ETFs, incorporating staking features that could generate additional yields for investors. This development follows recent SEC approvals streamlining crypto ETF listings, signaling growing regulatory comfort with digital assets.

Filings from Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, Grayscale, VanEck, CoinShares, and Canary Capital were updated on September 26, 2025, to include staking, allowing the funds to participate in Solana’s proof-of-stake network. Staking involves locking up SOL tokens to validate transactions and earn rewards, typically around 5-7% annually.

Nate Geraci, president of NovaDius Wealth Management, commented on the filings, stating, “Guessing these are approved [within the] next two weeks.” His prediction aligns with recent momentum in crypto ETFs, including the launch of the REX-Osprey Solana Staking ETF in August 2025, which has attracted over $250 million in assets under management.

Potential market impact includes increased institutional inflows to Solana, currently trading at approximately $201 with a market cap of $109 billion. Analysts at Pantera Capital have described SOL as “next in line for its institutional moment,” drawing parallels to Bitcoin and Ethereum’s ETF-driven.

However, regulatory uncertainty persists. Bitfinex analysts note that altcoins like Solana may not experience significant price rallies until more ETFs are approved, offering broader exposure down the risk curve. The SEC has yet to greenlight staking for Ether ETFs, which could influence Solana’s path.
