Polkadot Decoded 2022: 4 Locations, 3 Continents, 2 Days, 1 Unprecedented Experience
ZUG, March 2, 2022 – Polkadot is pleased to announce Polkadot Decoded 2022 and its ambitious plan to organize a historic live event in four different locations on three continents over two days at the end of June 2022. Due to the health measures adopted during the pandemic, the latest edition of the network’s most important annual summit, Polkadot Decoded, has been held exclusively virtually. In the meantime, the community has grown tremendously and Polkadot has launched the first wave of active parachains, supporting a number of new fully integrated blockchain projects. Polkadot is now ready to celebrate the success it has achieved as a key player on the road to building a truly decentralized web, by hosting simultaneous meetups around the world. Polkadot Decoded 2022, organized by the Web3 Foundation, will be held in New York, Berlin, Mexico City, and Shanghai on June 29 and 30, 2022. It will be a hybrid event to meet the needs of a truly global ecosystem, and so those who cannot make it to one of the four venues will not miss out on the experience. . The summit will feature:
- Keynote talks from people involved in parachain projects
- Immersive, interactive and collaborative workshops and hackathons
- An unprecedented networking opportunity for members of the Polkadot community
Although Polkadot Decoded focuses on the face-to-face experience, the event will also be broadcast live in a fully immersive and interactive way. People not physically present will be able to ask questions and enjoy networking opportunities with members from across the ecosystem. Last year’s community vote to help put together the final Polkadot Decoded show proved so popular that a similar format will be followed this year. Reflecting the philosophy of decentralization, an open call for proposals (CFP) will allow people to propose – and then vote on – the ecosystem innovations and initiatives they want to see featured at the conference. Proposals will be open until March 14, after which they have presented to the community using this form. Proposals can also be submitted in Spanish and Mandarin, taking into account the audiences in Shanghai and Mexico City.
