Crypto Market – Sept 18, 2022

During the previous week, cryptocurrencies retreated due to expectations of a more aggressive rate rise by the US Federal Reserve and inflationary pressures. On September 18, however, some leading cryptocurrencies were seen to have gained some ground.

Bitcoin (BTC), the biggest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, reached USD 20,000 again. During the previous twenty-four hours, Bitcoin (BTC) has traded between $19,749 and $20,189. As of 9:00 AM (UTC) today, BTC is trading at $20,055, an increase of 0.89% from the previous price.

At USD 1,450, Ethereum, the second-largest token by market capitalization, which suffered a sharp hit following the highly sought-after merging event, remained steady by close to 1 percent.

The worldwide cryptocurrency market capitalization is at $1.01 Trillion, a movement of 0.49% over the last 24 hours and -54.82% over the past year. The current market capitalization of Bitcoin (BTC) is $382 billion, representing a 37.9% market share. The market capitalization of Stablecoins is now $153 billion, representing a 15.19% share of the entire crypto market capitalization.

The vast majority of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization are trading with small gains and losses. Among the top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, XRP is up 7%, Solana is up 2%, Ethereum is up almost 1%, and Lido is up 1%. While Polkadot decreases by 1.3% and Cosmos (ATOM) decreases by 5.28%.
