Bitcoin company ZEBEDEE has launched the first CS:GO servers with its Infuse technology, which allows players to earn Bitcoin based on in-game performance.

Simon Cowell, co-founder, and CEO of ZEBEDEE, says the news is making waves in gaming circles.

“Our Bitcoin integration with CS:GO has connected with players as I’ve never seen in blockchain games,” Cowell told Decrypt. Waitlist signups are enough to fill our first 10 servers, so we’ll be expanding shortly. I think we’ve solved the cryptocurrency gaming problem.”

When playing on ZEBEDEE’s Infuse servers, you will scan a QR code via a smartphone app to pay 100 satoshis (1 satoshi = 1/100,000,000,000 BTC) of BTC. As you kill and/or die, your potential winnings will change based on your proportion in the game score.

If you win, you will have more satoshis than you bought. Lightning Network manages all player transactions. ZEBEDEE wants to offer servers with no entry fee thanks to the advertising of its partners.

It is an opportunity for players to “stack satoshis” and earn Bitcoin while playing. Valve’s free-to-play tactical shooter attracts more than one million concurrent users and had 24 million monthly active players at the beginning of last year.

For Infuse servers, players must download ZEBEDEE’s desktop software. ZEBEDEE intends to build more servers to accommodate more players after exposing CS:GO at previous MintGox Bitcoin gaming meets, including one last weekend.

Cowell believes the ability for CS:GO players to earn Bitcoin will help amateur and casual players who are not part of the professional eSports scene.

“The players on the ground will experience the biggest transformation,” he said. Currently, only a select elite of professionals can win e-sports events.

Cowell believes ZEBEDEE will transform casual esports gaming like Robinhood changed financial trading.
