The Web3 Foundation partners with the World Economic Forum

Zug, Switzerland, February 28, 2022 –  The Web3 Foundation has been invited to be part of the World Economic Forum. The mission of the Web3 Foundation is to foster state-of-the-art applications for decentralized web software protocols, thus enabling Web 3.0, a decentralized and fair internet where users can control their own data, identity, and destiny. The Web3 Foundation believes in an Internet in which:

  • Users are the owners of their data, not companies
  • Global digital transactions are secure
  • Online exchanges of information and value are decentralized

Through this partnership, the Web3 Foundation will help world leaders and their organizations understand the potential benefits of decentralization and its underlying blockchain technology.
The next annual meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held from May 22 to 26, 2022.
